主持人阴阳“他们不是法国人，是中国人”，特朗普：你认为法国人更好吗？

当地时间11月10日，特朗普在接受福克斯新闻采访时，主持人老调重弹污蔑中国人窃取知识产权，遭到特朗普反驳。福克斯主持人针对中国提问：“为什么这么多美国孩子想上学却没有名额，这些大学却靠着中国学生赚得盆满钵满？”
特朗普表示，美国的高校一直都有包括中国在内的其他国家的人过来留学，如果把外国学生的数量削减一半，或许有些人会乐见其成，而美国一半的大学都会倒闭。
“那又如何？”主持人接着说，“那我们的大学体系就要依赖中国了吗？”特朗普表示，“我真的觉得有其他国家的人来美国高校是好的”，主持人紧跟了一句“（可）他们不是法国人，他们是中国人。”
特朗普反驳：“你认为法国人更好吗？”
主持人：“是啊。”
特朗普：“我告诉你我不太确定。我们和法国人有很多问题，他们对我们的技术征收非常不公平的税，对美国产品征收25%的税。”
